Today in #gamedev - want to finish making plans, and play more with #kaboomjs

Kaboom really is a great 2D game engine for the web.
Yesterday I made a little progress on my web game. I learned a lot and figured some things out. But not a lot of "changes on the screen". Today - more of that, perhaps more playing with #kaboomjs
I'm comparing my current dev environment ( #replit #astrobuild #appwrite #kaboomjs ) with an older world ( #visualstudio ) and it's like night and day. The first I can run anywhere via the browser. The other takes up 8GiB on my machine.

I put together a small demo game to use to teach #KaboomJS in a lunch and learn session with my company. It's nothing super exciting, but I think it should cover a lot of the basic concepts. Really hope they enjoy it. And, as always, thanks @kenney for the amazing free assets.
Last night I finished refactoring my earlier #kaboomjs remake of the Atari 2600 Donkey Kong game. I'm building it to potentially do a tutorial series. Swapped the builder over to #vite and all the scripts over to typescript. I still need to finish the fireball level, but the barrel level is looking good! #gamedev #javascript #javascriptgamedev #atari
