Hmm, rechnen im 20er System stelle ich mir spannend vor. Aber das kaktovische #Zahlensytem ist genauso logisch, wie jedes andere auch. Es ist sicher eine Frage der Routine, auch wenn unsereiner da ziemliche Gehirnakrobatik machen muss. 🤣

Sehr coole Sache: Das neue #Zahlensystem der #Inuit aus #Kaktovik.

Leicht abgewandelt könnte 4 Bit, also ein "Nibble" damit kurz darstellen. Die ersten beiden Bit sind die oberen Striche und die hinteren Bits die unteren Striche.

@elysdir Thinking about it, the #Kaktovik numerals remind me very much of the #Maya numerals
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_numerals which also use a combination of base 5 and base 20. Not surprisingly the two may be culturally related, given the flow of people and information across the American continent.
