I like it a lot with flatwound steel strings, but the intonation is not great on higher frets and the piezo pickups are inconsistent from one string to the next--that was the case before I switched from the polyurethane strings. If I could do it all over again, I would get a fretless.
But I've gotten a LOT of use out of it around the world. They travel much better than full-sized ones.

A teak #baritone #ukulele from #Kala, it's strung DGBE (i.e. the highest strings on a guitar), so like playing guitar on easy mode. You don't even need to roll down the window when you play in your car at lunch, and it fits in an overhead compartment on a flight.

Apparently the game ended and the place was full, but I nonsensed anyway. Ran my new #Kala solid-body electric #ukulele through my bass pedal effects for an extremely electric sound, and the house compression took it off the charts. Had to get real gentle on the strings, but it was amazing to play something that amplified and have it pretty much work.
