At the start of what should be the most important two-year stretch in her career, Dina #Asher-Smith ran a sizzling 7.04 seconds over 60 meters to win the featured event at Friday’s Indoor Meeting #Karlsruhe. In setting a PB and national record, the 27-year-old speedster bested #Poland’s Ewa #Swoboda (7.09) and the #Swiss Mujinga #Kambundji (7.11).

An impressive lineup of top talent is set to appear in Friday’s INIT Indoor Meeting #Karlsruhe (Germany), in which five of the six senior women’s events feature at least one European champion.
Two heats of the 60-meter dash are uncommonly strong - with Dina #Asher-Smith and Mujinga #Kambundji squaring off on one side, and Daryll #Neita and Ewa #Swoboda facing off on the other. Others in the event, which will see a final run, include Malaika #Mihambo, Lisa #Mayer and Alex #Burghardt.
