Outside of kampot Cambodia are wonderful salt harvesting farms. We visited again yesterday. The salt harvesting was going when we got there. I loved the older buildings used for storage and work on the harvesting. We ended up buying some salt. You can never have too much salt. Perhaps we do now 😀

Good morning from the Kingdom of Wonder. Last day in Kampot. Tomorrow back to Siem Reap and home. These little flowers by our breakfast spot. Little scenes the best.

Thoughts on things. Kampot. Writing. Blogging. In the end I just put it all in the blog. Checked the temperature. Ready for reading 😀
Well looks like things more or less worked for me moving back to photog.social. I even managed to edit my blot template on my iPhone and get webmention working. Some people I followed seem gone. Gonna look them up. I’m happy to be where I started years ago. And what is hello without a photo of where we are. This was last night.
Take care all.

Evening in Kampot. Wonderful day. My wife finished the personal things to get done. So proud of her. Now we relax at the lodge. Family brings food to us.

Another hidden spot thanks to my wife and our tuktuk driver. So beautiful.

Marking some changes to my so called fediverse presence. I need one home and I want it back where I started. I’ll stop posting on my pixelfed instance and move my mastodon account. More on the blog I guess. I can’t do things in multiple places. I’ve tried. Blogging, tooting. Whatever. I’m old. Let’s use that.

Good morning and shame on people that toss plastic into this beautiful river. We sit and watch the little stream of it go by. Bottles, plates. Stuff.
Cambodia is so beautiful. I love my home. I really dislike how so many think it’s just ok to discard.
Thanks Cambodia for giving me it all. Please don’t discard plastic in this river. Or any river, stream, park, archeological site, historic district. Whatever.

Secluded lunch spot in Kampot. Right on the river. Alin knows. All the places. Garlic shrimp. Curry. Beer. Our last day. Doing all of nothing. Tomorrow back home. Will take us hours but life has been so good on this escape.

More scenes along the drive from salt fields.

Salt fields in Kampot. Kampot known for pepper but they also have large salt fields. Old buildings so beautiful related to salt harvesting. Salt will be harvested later today.

We are going back to Kampot because it is a nice town to sit back, take it easy, see some Khmer family and friends. Most of all relax. Like last time during Valentine's Day 2023 when Alin and I visited.

Final night in Kampot. Went for drinks and food and then stopped to admire old bridge at night. We ate, we drank, we laughed and cried. Life is good.

Then on my walk today. In no particular order because chaos ruled.

Durian roundabout in Kampot. Around and around the durian we go. Where we stop only the durian know.

I went out and walked around Kampot Cambodia because I could. Beautiful first day. Tonight we see retired expat friend and his Khmer friends for dinner. Let the good times roll.

In the spirit of deciding we will go to Kampot in April, I should have included a little photo perhaps in the blog post of what an evening in Kampot looked like some time ago. Sitting by the river then with a beverage was a way to spend the sunset times. Kampot has wonderful local and international food choices, pretty places to walk, and I have a few expat friends that live there.
