I just finished The Librarians. What a fun series! I loved the episodic nature of the show and the whole premise is awesome. Yes, we do all need “The Library”. Really, all the libraries! May we never forget the value of curiosity and learning.

PETITE MAMAN (2021): Proof that the art of the sub-75 minute film isn’t dead. A simple, beautiful meditation on grief, told through a fantasy story of a young girl making friends with her own mother as a child. There’s a couple just bowl-you-over incredible lines, and that moment where- after almost no music- a huge score swells is quite moving. I have only just recently heard of the #French Nobel laureate, #AnnieErnaux. I have yet to read her work but I came across a 2022 #film, THE SUPER 8 YEARS. (Trailer below)

I just watched a #PBS #documentary on Benito #Mussolini. It traces the history and tactics of Mussolini as he invented #fascism and grew his #fascist party to rule over #Italy.

Excellent. Well made.
