The political philosopher Felix Heidenreich has a new novel, «Der Diener des Philosophen». The central characters are Kant's servant, Martin Lampe, and his friend, Ehregott Wasianski. Lampe outwardly plays the fool, but secretly pursues a years-long campaign to outwit Kant and ultimately drive him insane. Wasianski pursues his own campaign to prevent Kant's marriage, which he views as a threat to Kant's philosophical work.

An Indian colleague, trained at Oxford, was a philosopher, and one semester offered a course "intro to Eastern philosophy"

Of course the lecture hall was SRO with privileged white kids wanting to learn the wisdom of the East

When the Prof found that they were ignorant of Plato, Kant, etc, he said: 1st we have to learn our own tradition

by the 3rd lecture, there were 3 students left
