I hadn't really appreciated the value of tools like ChatGPT until I realised how good Bing Chat was at producing more helpful answers than Bing Search. For example, I was looking for information on how to require a particular instance generation in a #Karpenter Provisioner config. Searching for "karpenter instance generation requirement" didn't really help ... but Bing Chat was able to give me the exact config statement to use!

@curtismchale that is exactly how it goes for me as well. Last week I started to fix some minor thinks in the #terraform #k8s setup, then the destroy pipeline broke with some strange errors. After debugging it for two days with some awesome folks in GitHub, it became clear that a TF patch broke some destroy logic.
Now everything should work again, but oh wait, #karpenter switched its chart mirror to OCI. Now I have to patch this because otherwise #argocd does not find the cart anymore.
From my point of view it is just impossible to estimate anything in k8s platform work.
