Why should criticism of a cinematic approach to portraying a topic be conflated with criticism of the topic? Just as critiquing a film about The Holocaust is not tantamount to denigrating The Holocaust, critiquing a film or a book about the trauma of Kashmiris Hindus is not dismissing their plight and sorrow.

The movie 'Kashmir Files' is a propaganda film. The movie is promoted by the extreme right wing and communal political parties. The movie misrepresents the history. But general public without the history knowledge may not be able to understand the propaganda.
