Hailing from a well-to-do family of farmers, and crowned "Reyna Elena" in her town's Santacruzan, Melchora married Fulgencio Ramos, a cabeza de barangay. The couple had 6 children. Her husband's death devastated her, but she single-handedly managed her husband's business. It was in her backyard where the Cry of Revolution happened. Her son Juan Ramos was a member of the . She generously gave 100 bags of rice, 10 carabaos, & other supplies to the movement, believing in the cause.

Alejandrino joined the . Upon the outbreak of the Revolution in 1896, he initiated the procurement of arms from Japan via Hong Kong. When revo leaders were voluntarily exiled to HK via Pact of Biak-na-Bato, Alejandrino welcomed them there. Upon the resumption of PH Revo vs. Spain, Alejandrino was w/ U.S. Adm. George Dewey in the Battle of Manila Bay. Soon after, he became a delegate in the Malolos Congress, provisionally representing Catanduanes through Aguinaldo's appointment.

Supremo Andres Bonifacio, The Father of Philippine Revolution, founder of the (KKK means different for Filipinos, it is Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan) and also, the first president of the Philippines (some historians don’t agree). Over-all bad-ass guy.

Fellow filipinos betrayed him. And I think, that set the course of how philippine politics continue until now.
