I eventually found the coffee truck a few weeks later in #Kayenta. I wrote about it and won 3rd for ANA https://navajotimes.com/biz/goodbye-coffee-desert-monument-coffee-is-on-the-scene/.
Idk if the truck is still around. I always loved this little video Krista took as a reminder of the day we skipped work, just to have coffee with one another at #MonumentValley. A place people come from all over the world to see, and is only a beautiful drive down the street for me. Pretty damn lucky.
Donovan Pete is the #NavajoNationLibrary’s community library manager. He oversees the daily and administration operation of this tribal library located in #WindowRock and two other community libraries located in #Kayenta and #Torreon.
The WR library has a really fascinating Special Collections that holds past editions of #NavajoTimes, recorded/transcribed oral history recorded in the 1970’s about the Long Walk, and more.
He hopes to get funding to replace computers.

Sandstone-infilled paleochannel in the Lower Jurassic Kayenta Formation in St. George, Utah. A standard stop for all of our introductory-level geology course field trips, and a great example of a disconformity! #geology #geoscience #jurassic #kayenta #utah #stgeorge #redrock #sedimentology
