One thing I missed this week: Patrick Mahomes has become the first active #NFL :nfl: player to have an equity stake in an #NWSL :nwsl: franchise. He now owns a piece of the #KCCurrent's :kc_current:.

It's been a busy week for the #KCCurrent. Just one day after signing a highly sought midfielder from Brazil, the NWSL club announced that #Chiefs quarterback Patrick #Mahomes would join the ownership group.

Mahomes' wife Brittany helped bring the franchise (back) to #KansasCity from Utah and calls Patrick's support for the team "undeniable".

KC will win, though lose 2-0, the same score they won this match by, to the Portland Thorns in the Finals.
