Funemployment project #1 published! It's a #3dprint display case for my old #mechanicalkeyboard, the #keebio Iris, in #OpenSCAD.

I haven't finished printing yet, but I will undoubtedly toot about that too when it happens.

Vor zwei Tagen war ich noch am Verzweifeln wegen meinem Tastaturumstieg auf #neo2 Layout. Heute sieht die Welt schon sehr anders aus… Ich glaube, so langsam werden die Fehler weniger und die Geschwindigkeit ist auch bisschen besser. Aber es wird. Danke an ermutigende Menschen hier im Fediverse. Danke an @acid für den Floh mit dem Split-Keyboard und danke an @iyalei für die Empfehlung der #Keebio #Iris. Die liebe ich so sehr, dass hier inzwischen schon eine zweite ist… ☺️

So und jetzt geht es vom großen Screen im Arbeitszimmer an den mittelkleinen Screen im Wohnzimmer. Zum Ausklang des Tages bisschen online Catan zocken und dazu Musik auf'm Plattenspieler aufgelegt.

Und ich glaube, ich schreibe hier nur so Romane, weil's geht. 🙃

Speaking about #mechanicalkeyboard, I was reading and studying the #Keebio #Iris as a possible first split buy.
But then, thanks to @rriver I've found out the nice Yushakobo store in Japan that is the reference store for the Lily98.
Then I've found out that Lily98 is #FOSS and that has been designed by a Japanese.
My wife is Japanese.
Next summer will be back in Japan after three years.
Well, I think it's worth a stroll to the Yushakobo store.

@deavid very fair point that I hear often. TBH, I've never had a serious problem with loaner machines. I have 3+ keyboards customized to my needs on every workstation, and I type on someone else's machine maybe 5 times a year tops.

I even brought my wired mechanical keyboard to the datacenters when I needed to visit, so I could bring my #qmk keeb with me and leverage all my shortcuts and layers.

My #keebio #levinson is small enough to fit on my macbook, with the internal keyboard turned off.
