Dunno about #KeePassX. The one I'm trying to use now (and have tried using several times in the past but it just didn't stick) is #KeePass and, although it works alright, it's a terrible UX for me.

I guess I got spoiled with #LastPass. It really was (mostly) good.

I'm not a #security expert, just somewhat of a paranoid technical citizen & all the recent discussions around #LastPass got me wondering in what ways my set up could be vulnerable...

I've been using #KeepassXC / #Keepass / #KeepassX for ages now & added #Yubikey 's challenge-response mode (XC version) to it several years ago as well...

It's been kept in sync across a few personal devices via a cloud storage service which has #2fa enabled...

AFAIK this is "safe-enough" for my passwords right?

I’m now a fan of #KeepassX on Linux / Strongbox on Mac. They are interoperable. I sync the vault directly peer-to-peer using Syncthing (Mobius Sync client on iOS). That keeps the vault off of other people’s servers. I have a NAS at home for backup that also runs Syncthing. 2/n

I'm maybe one of the oldest #keepass users around, I've been using it even before even there was #keepassx was around. I've been using it, but it's not a convenient way of a pw manager if you'd ask me in nowadays standards.

I can totally see why as part of a redesign/rewrite they'd have dropped some features, but this seems like a poor one to drop. I've been using #KeepassX for years (synced with #Unison, and with part of the key stored offline) and had been pondering migrating to 1Password until I heard about this change in v8.

הנקודה היא שהפורמט של keepass הוא סטנדרט, כלומר אפשר להשתמש במקביל ב #KeePass המקורי, או #KeePassX או #KeePassXC או #KeePassDX ולערבב ביניהם וזה יהיה בסדר

Soy muy de testear apps de fdroid, aunque también tengo apps cerradas/propietarias/espía.

Cuando vagamente sabes lo que son trackers/rastreadores en las apps y como son o pueden ser usados ( https://www.xatakandroid.com/aplicaciones-android/tres-de-cada-cuatro-aplicaciones-utilizan-un-tracker-oculto-segun-un-estudio-de-yale ) y quieres saber cuantos tienen tus apps coges e instalas programas como #exodus.

Esta app te dice cuales tienen, como se llaman y la descripción pero en inglés. Buscas algo de info en español o traduces si no dominas la lengua.

Mi conclusión es si merece tener ciertas apps o acceder mediante web teniendo un gestor de contraseñas como #keepassX.

Imagino que la mayoria de webs usan lo mismo o similar en la web, pero tenerlo en un dispositivo tan generador de datos hace que mucha gente pueda traficar con quien eres, tus gustos, preferencias, etc.

Aportaciones al tema de quienes sabeis más son bien recibidas.
