While the "godfathers" of "AI" are talking our ears off about "saving humanity" while making sure to erase the works of Black women, this is the type of footage we're getting daily from our refugees in Sudan, many of the Eritreans who fled Eritrean repression, Tigrayans who fled genocide, other Ethiopians, and Syrians. I am yet to hear the "godfathers" so concerned about "saving humanity" talking about any of these people.

I can't bring myself to share the pictures of tiny corpses from Mygoma orphanage in Khartoum. What is happening in #Sudan will go down in the annals of history like Cambodia, Tigray, Yemen, Syria. Khartoum (see https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/article/2023-05-26-khartoum-the-creation-and-the-destruction-of-a-modern-african-city/) and so many other cities (e.g. el-Geneina) in Sudan are being systematically destroyed. Looted, starved, burned, their people scattered. #KeepEyesOnSudan

The only way I'm finding out about #KeepEyesOnSudan is Twitter. That's where refugees, Sudanese citizens & diaspora are calling out bodies like the UNHCR & western embassies etc. E.g. this letter from Ethiopian & Eritrean refugees.

Some journalists I got here have decided its not wroth it for them, while a few like @zekuzelalem are staying :)
