@rothar excellent advice. Add to that reverse route planning. We often choose longer quieter routes to avoid heavy traffic. These are the type of conditions when it’s best to avoid the quieter city routes as they’ve likely not been gritted nor has traffic flow cleared the surface ice. Same goes for cycle tracks.
