The Kelvingrove Pipe Organ. Originally commissioned for the 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition, it was later moved to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. It has 2889 organ pipes, but the ones you can see are just part of a decorative facade. The actual sound-producing pipes are hidden behind it.

I've been going to Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow since I was a kid, but I only noticed these wonderfully ornate cast iron vent covers for the first time the other day.

The Argyle Street Ash Tree, Finnieston, Glasgow.
This tree was accidently planted in 1850. This means it has been a feature of the west end of Glasgow for longer than the Kelvin Hall (1927), the Kelvingrove Art Gallery (1901), Glagsow University (which moved to its current location in 1870), and even Kelvingrove Park (1852).

Looking along of one of the galleries of Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.
At one point, the muesum's most famous painting, Dali's Christ of St John on the Cross, was situated at the end of one such gallery. This made for a dramatic sight as you turned a corner and saw, it lit from above, off in the distance, framed by the series of stone arches.
