This 1850s townhouse overlooking Kelvingrove Park in the west end of Glasgow has an interesting little bit of history attached to it.
In the 1930s, it was home to Archibald Young the professor of Surgery at Glasgow University, and when Albert Einstein visited the city in 1933 to receive an honourary degree, it was here that he stayed.

I love this run of old stables behind the Victorian townhouses on Park Gardens in the west end of Glasgow (top left). They're built into the slope and have a garden built on top of them (bottom left) so as to be hidden from the neighbouring townhouses further up the hill. Their chimneys have even been hidden in piers of the railings around the garden so as to avoid intruding on the view (right).

It cost £1.80 to get in for a three hour session, and in 1978, it was home to the first Scottish National Skate Competition.
Much of it was demolished or filled in in the 1980s after skateboarding dropped in popularity. The last surviving bit was replaced by the current skate park in 2005.

In the bushes beside the current skate park in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow, you'll find some odd remains, like this, sticking out of the ground. These are all that remains of the legendary 1970s Kelvin Wheelies Skate Park, one of the first public skate parks in Scotland.
Much larger than the current one, it included a side-by-side slalom run (which, I think, is what can be seen in this picture), a half pipe, a clover bowl, a snake run and a free style area.

Victorian terraced townhouses overlooking Kelvingrove Park in the west end of Glasgow. Built in the 1850 in a French Renaissance Style, these houses, along with many of the neighbouring ones, were designed by Charles Wilson.

The water flowed through this tunnel before emerging to engulf the Exhibition Centre Station, flood the car park of the Exhbition Centre itself and finally cascade into the Clyde. In the aftermath of this event, this entrance was sealed up.
