This is my personal favorite #kendone #kendonegallery reef painting. It's called Black Lava Reef and I believe it was inspired by a reef on the Gunung Api flow at Banda Neira.
My husband and I snorkeled with Ken and Judy Done there in January 2020. It was a magnificent coral punchbowl reef, corals set like jewels on the 30 year old lava.

I don't think there's a Ken Done hashtag in the fediverse. Here's one. #kendone for whatever his artistic flaws created a truly elegant reef painting once back in the world that was. It was a 2019 Sulman finalist. I think it mat be the most elegant painting he ever did. All about control of paint on a very wet canvas. If you have no idea who he is, don't worry.
