The picture shows Lake Wabby on K'gari (Fraser Island), Australia, which you can only find if you walk over a sand dune. The blending colours from yellow to green is what makes me like the photograph.

The sun has gone into hiding again. Well, then it's back to dreaming of beautiful sunrises over the ocean again - like this one here from K'gari (Fraser Island), a sand island in Australia, one of the very few sunrises I saw there (I am not a morning person).

Flashback for #FungiFriday to a single day walk through the incredible K'gari in Great Sandy National Park. Spent HOURS admiring and photographing endless species of fungi. K'gari has #rainforest, #eucalyptus woodland, #mangrove forests, wallum and peat #swamps , #sanddunes and coastal #heath. It is made up of sand that has been accumulating for approximately 750,000 years on volcanic bedrock that provides a natural catchment for the sediment carried on a strong offshore current northwards along the coast. Unlike on many sand dunes, plant life is abundant due to the naturally occurring #mycorrhizal #fungi present in the sand, which release nutrients in a form that can be absorbed by the plants. #blessed #FraserIsland #Kgari #Queensland #Australia

K'gari (Fraser Island) and one of it's many amazing Satinay trees.
The thick bark spiralling upwards on the trunks is a work of art.
(The tree was too big for me to get into one photo and the top still keeps going)
