@stamberry @cascheranno @cstross @Keltounet @hywan #Kia actually did this with their #NiroEV. The sound system and climate control had separate dials. As do “all” vehicles”. Someone decided it was a good idea to combine it into one dial. And you can only tell which function it is doing by looking away from the road to look at the dashboard.

And the #EV6 was fantastic. It didn't need a charge but #Kia gives you 1000 free KWh at Electrify America charging stations, so I figured why not. And the cruise control was amazing, as it controls the speed based on the traffic and even keeps the car in the lane itself. It was a little weird at first but it worked great. I did forget to turn it off once, even wondering why it was chirping at me and wouldn't lock! Got my home charger yesterday and the electricians are coming tomorrow.

Well, it finally happened. We finally got the new #car . But even that wasn't without drama. We got the call at noon from the #Kia dealer, saying our #EV6 was ready to be picked up. We cleaned out the minivan and traded it in, driving away happy. Until G noticed her Fitbit was missing and after some back and forth, the sales guy found it under one of the minivan seats. So back to Lynn to pick it up. How terrible! Had to drive the new car a whole bunch more than planned!

There was a small glitch in the system as far as picking up the new car yesterday. The machine for doing the inspection was broken, so rather than make 2 trips, we figured we'd wait until today to pick up the #EV6. It's always something. We did plug in the #Bolt for the first time. We only have a 120 circuit right now, so it only added 40 miles but enough to get to work and back for @adrienne . Hope to hear from the electrician today about the 240. #cars #kia #chevrolet

Just called my #Kia dealership to let them know when my #insurance claim comes in I will be wanting the exact same make/model. I think I just wanted to hear the sales dude's voice fall when I told him what happened to the one I just bought 3 weeks ago.

E-Auto #kia laden am #TotalEnergies Autohof Werder: Laden stoppt 2x ohne erkennbaren Grund. Ladeports falsch beschriftet. Und dann lädt das Auto, obwohl die App sagt, es hätte aufgehört. Abstöpseln erfordert einen Anruf bei der Hotline: "Drücken Sie 1 für Deutsch". Erster Satz "Do you speak english?" Immerhin konnten sie dann helfen.

@takeitev @ulidig if it's a super short commute, there's also the Kia Soul EV (sadly not the current gen, which #Kia don't sell in the US as an #EV, but the 15-19 variant (came in two battery sizes with around 80-100 miles of real world range)). The #chevrolet #SparkEV is also a good option if you're looking smaller / cheaper (but make sure it has rapid charging, if you need it, as that was optional).

You can also consider an earlier #Nissan #LEAF with a healthy battery pack or the (usually over priced) #VW #Golf EV.
