Ever since “Old Town Road,” Nashville has been tripping over itself to find another country-rap hybrid that won’t piss off purists so much they keep elevating dudes on cellphones beside actual campfires with pitchy guitars. (Which would put all the big producers out of work.) Anyway, the Kidd is only 17, and if he’s got more Juice WRLD in him than Zach Bryan, let’s see how he does when he grows up.
