I "stumbled" across #KiftsgateCourtGarden last summer when I went to Hidcote one morning without booking in advance on the website. Was told I'd have to wait for a slot later in the afternoon.
Just before noon.
Driving away I saw Kiftsgate were opening in a few minutes so waited by the gates.
Utterly besotted at first sight. The sensation of the Villa d'Este. The sensation of being a family affair. Pure pleasure.
Every visit.
And wonderful plants for sale.

April is the month that #KiftsgateCourtGarden is closed on Thursdays so I went up to #NTHidcote nearby.
These Persian Fritillaries are striking in the wilderness area. It seems Hidcote might have an issue with 🦌 because much of their wild area planting is stuff like #Comfrey and these things that deer and rabbits leave alone.

... about to climb back up ...

Falling blossom petals ... a foretaste of autumn ... et in arcadia ego.
Kiftsgate Court garden reopened today for the summer. View from the lower lawn across the ha ha aaaaaaagh wall and the Vale of Evesham towards Bredon Hill.
Am still besotted. So much like the Villa D'Este in its feel ... understandably as gardens part built by Italian landscapers in the last century.
Website well worth a look 😊
