A mining outpost inside a shattered planet which then gets destroyed.

Two complicated set pieces from the game (the broken planet and the exploding station) but I think unfortunately they distract a bit from each other. I have to move on but one of those times where final result is less than sum of the parts to me.

Just followed the #Caturday hashtag and found someone posting about just having finished the #SookieStackhouse books by #CharlaineHarris (which were adapted to TV as #trueblood

It reminded me of how obsessed I got with that series. It seems like a thousand years ago but it was in about 2010

I wrote an essay for #KillYourDarlings at the time about binge-reading vs binge-watching, and what happens when an ongoing series of novels diverges from the TV series that was adapted from them

I have a long scene in my WIP academic mystery that shows one of my characters before he dies. The gent is not entirely lovely but when I reread that scene I almost always cry.

Revising my first draft ... I think. When do you call something a draft? I put ideas on paper until I had around 15.000 words and now I write directions in the piece in italic how to write the second draft.
I am always amazed how much can be deleted 🥲
Because it was such fun to write it down.
