I think I repainted these eyes three times before I realized there were sculpted eyelids making it look weird! Amazing what a single line of paint can do for definition . This is probably as good as they're going to get 😂

Not a great picture, but I went to attach pube devil's wig and realized I needed to figure out the horns first or I would really be making life difficult for myself.

Quick wet blending and very pleased with the results. Wish I had a little more time to do the other right now and do refinements, but whatcha gonna do.

Poking along at the hair/wig/pelt for our friend The Pube Devil (aka screaming god pinup), having fun playing with tones but think it's probably at a point where I just need to suck it up and glue it on the mini to get a sense of how it should proceed.

I've had the colors picked out on my desk for this for several days but have just finally forced myself to get started.

Trying NMM again but incorporating greens in the shadows to imply the gold is cursed somehow? Going to take some time.

Tried out wet blending to get the basic shades for the NMM on this blade, and I'm pretty happy. I need to really finalize the light placement and do some blending, but it's getting there.

Not nearly as easy as the video I watched on it made it look though 🙃

Feel like this blade was a weird shape to try this on in the first place.

Some more NMM progress! I'm feeling pretty pleased with this, even starting to convince myself that it looks realistic 😂

Still plenty of fiddling to do, but I've also come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to do the other metal surfaces as NMM for everything to look right! Not quite the home stretch yet.

Today is my birthday, so naturally, I took off and spent the day painting by myself and watching twitch.

(Don't worry, I did see some friends over the weekend, even if this was the birthday celebration I was most looking forward to)

I spent part of that time painting the skin on this fellow (affectionately nicknamed "pube devil"). I really enjoy painting skin, going back and forth and twiddling with layers and glazes. Since it's a natural thing, you can't really mess up, and every additional layer adds to the natural levels and inconsistency of real skin.

Probably a little ways to go here.

Yesterday’s #KingdomDeathMonster sessions were intense. Lost 1 survivor but did manage to defeate a lvl 2 monster.
