We went to lunch by the #Redondo Marina earlier this week. Afterward, we went for a walk along the docks. Looking down at the rocks at low tide, I saw #oysters! Tons and tons of them. Half-shells occasionally, but definitely oysters, where before I'd seen only mussels and crabs. Anyone have the skinny on this? Climate change? Natural cycling of habitat? Of course #KingHarbor oysters would be completely inedible, but maybe there's a new variety setting up shop outside the Santa Monica Bay?
