Dear gods. #YouGov has just asked me if I support the #KingsGuard at #BuckinghamPalace switching to using #FauxFur for their #bearskin hats.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but holy shit. I thought they'd done it years ago and that 'bearskin' was just what they called the hat style.

I'm surprisingly startled by that. I mean I knew the #monarchy was anachronistic by definition, but... 😳
