I finished the first chapter of #kingsquest last night. I was so happy that all of the tournament events took place in that same chapter, I was so worried they would all be cut into the remaining chapters. There was only one instance where I needed to search for help with the solution, my eyesight failed me and I didn’t see the tree next to the door 😂 I don’t know if choices even play a role in the game, but not being able to go back for a redo is kind of refreshing.

I’ve not finished the first chapter yet, I figured last night that it should be a great treat to finish it today after work. But I’m also itching for the rest of the chapters. It’s beautifully made, I adore the animation style of it and the story telling is great. Not to mention the voice acting! I can’t wait to get home!

@edenwaith I've always wondered if there was maybe an idea at one point to have Dracula's castle in KQ2 be home to the giant from KQ1 instead, like how the dwarf and the sorcerer from the first game are also reused. It might explain the oddly large scale of the furniture in the rooms. Or maybe it was just an art error - I honestly don't know.

Just tried the AGI version of King's Quest IV on ScummVM. It's interesting that the displayed text at 0:02 shows additional ScummVM information to the version number.

No copyprotection, no problem! In the AGI version of King's Quest IV you just have to type in ALT + D and then type some magic words.

I remember King's Quest 1 was my very first Sierra text adventure. Back in 2001, I didn't understand a single word English so this and the other Sierra games helped me a lot to learn my first English vocabulary.

I decided to dive into the world of #SteamDeck. I don't like gaming on my #PC so I thought this was a good way to play some of my massive #Steam library. But mainly it's a solid little #emulation machine. I've been tinkering with it for like a solid week, haven't even played much. Though I did beat #MonkeyIsland. @kmenzel hi! I have many of the same game interests, I grew up on #KingsQuest, and #ChronoTrigger was also quite formational. And I do enjoy #PowerWashSimulator on occasion. :) I don't have time to game much, but those first two games have a place near and dear to me.
