+1 to my #distrohop history and _yes_ I did say I would stay on #Fedora Kinoite for some time but my blood runs Debian :P

So, this is my distrohop chain

#MXLinux -> #Manjaro -> #GarudaLinux -> #EndeavourOS -> Fedora -> Fedora #Kinoite -> #Devuan (?)

I also just can't help wanting #KDE #Plasma6 because it has _so_ many things I want/need. I will probably distrohop again once Plasma 6 is released, but we'll see.

P.S: I'd stay with MX my whole life time if it had a proper updating solution.

Running #Wayland sweetly under #openSUSE and #Fedora, both with KDE. One is even the immutable #Kinoite. My setting involves IME so it’s more complicated but it works like a charm.

However, I have problems under #NixOS and #AlmaLinux so it’s not an universal green light…

Ok so I give #Kinoite another try again but this time on x86-64 platform (yes on VM under #openSUSE)

I must say the update performed by #rpm-ostree is more swift than the ordinary #dnf

It's a tool to build your own custom immutable OS from @fedora #Silverblue / #Kinoite.

Slight immutable OSes are the future of #Linux desktop and this project helps to overcome the myth of immutable = not customizable.

Your OS should just be an OS, there are #Flatpak for apps and #Podman, #Guix and #Nix for development environments (I hope IDEs will better integrate with these though).

Using Kinoite and extremely happy with it.

Even without Toolbox/Distrobox you can use some CLI tools like ffmpeg by using the Flatpaks container. No struggle with Fedoras restricted Codecs either.

Flawless rollbacks, but doesnt break too.

And with Distrobox I just installed Software from the AUR and exported it to my Desktop!

Una maravilla, yo uso la versión #Kinoite que es un spin con KDE de Silverblue, que se basa en flatpak y su mantenimiento es mínimo. Ideal para no comerse el tarro.

Instalando #Fedora #Kinoite con un simple comando. A ver cómo sale el experimento y si me adapto a #KDE

Ya se puede utilizar #MullvadVPN sin ningún problema en Fedora #Silverblue y #Kinoite. Os adjunto los pasos.
