Well we must disagree on your hope- IMO there is more chance of another #kipperTory administration than a hung parliament - so I am hoping #labour sweep to a landslide

I think people who criticise #starmer from the left will be surprised at how #labour govern under his leadership - he is not #blair

A hung parliament with a Lab/LibDem majority would not be a disaster - but not something that can be engineered

Sounds pretty catastrophic for the #toriesOut to me...... when he took over in April 2020 #labour were over 20% behind in the polls & it was widely predicted that gap would not be bridged before the next election ushered in yet another #kipperTory parliament

I think you mean that is the tyranny possible with a large majority - #FPTP merely makes that more likely (but not #Scotland has a partial list system but still #SNP dominate there)

But this current #kipperTory party is way more toxic than any past administration even tho the electoral system is unchanged. Getting rid of them is politically very possible (=likely) but getting rid of #FPTP is I think not acheivable - the party in power is always a current beneficiary

Well it benefits the bank accounts of those running that country, those who win contracts for the work involved, and the appeal of the #kipperTory prty to their core voters.

I suspect those are the primary reasons for the policy, not the rather dubious proposition it will result in fewer undocumented UKresidents - for which the remedies would be regulation & maybe ID cards within the UK, not indulging in people-trafficking ourselves

Interesting to consider difference between current #kipperTory party & what we might have under #pr

We'd not have a wide party all the way from cautious supporters of status quo to wilds of #englishNationalism - instead we'd have parliament including smaller parties
like #reform (nativists), maybe pro-business party and socially conservative party (possibly with an islamic flavour)

Each smaller party would be more rigidly centred on a core & fight for that core

Well I agree the #UKeconomy are getting worse - and I think the other shoe has yet to drop on that - things are rather worse than they look

This #kipperTory party lost its mind when faced with a threat on its right flank - instead of facing down the threat & sticking to the centre-Right - ie mirroring what #labour does when faced with #farLeft entryists (excluding that #corbynite failed experiment) - it sucked the #kippers into their soul & their reason departed

Interestingly that is not reflected on the Right - there is no sense of moral superiority I can detect amongst #extremeRight - they may well attack #centreRight (or I guess nowadays we should say the #notSoExtremeRight given johnson evicted #roryStewart types from the #kipperTory party)

I do not see #farage for example making out #sunak - or even in her time #may as somehow evil - yet some on the #farLeft seem to want to spit bile on any #centreLeft #labour supporters

#Sunak is shaping up to be the most inconsequential PM of the #cameronToryEra...... it is hard to remember that he inheritted a strong majority when it seems he has no plans to use it for any constructive changes

Well I think you will find gorgeous #GeorgeGalloway opposes the government - that does not make him credible (especially not after the cat act)

There are in the UK as a whole only two political games in town - #kipperTory or #Labour

it is credible that either will form a majority govt after the next election - which one do you prefer?
