Kirkjufell and Kirkjufellfoss 30 June 2022. A7R f/20 1/4 ISO50 17mm. After a long drive at the Northwestern edge of Iceland, we headed to this well photographed site and had a wonderful evening playing with settings and filters. #Kirkjufell was high up on my list of places to visit on our first #Iceland road trip back in 2013. It was because I had read in the Icelandic Wikipedia page for it that this mountain used to be called Firðafjall, and my name is Firda, so it's basically MY mountain! Or at least that's what I like to believe. We've stopped here on each of our subsequent road trips just because I had to say hi to my beautiful mountain. ☺️
