1/5 Well, it's been a minute since I've posted about anything even remotely related to woodworking because I've been a bit distracted with our #KitchenRemodel

We started preparing for this last July, but only started the demolition this May.

We had a structural engineer confirm that the wall between the kitchen and dining area was load bearing and they drew up plans for the beam that was needed. We took quotes and went with a local contractor, who we will not do business with again. #DIY

I installed "underglow" in my kitchen cabinets yesterday, to light the counter.

This corner of my kitchen had always been a little dark previously, now it's well lit. Plus there's a dimmer switch so I can tone it down at night!

Remodel hell part abillionty five: counter is back on but the fucking wall is bowed. We need to change out the backsplash. Faucet got put back but something in it is broken so we had to buy a new one. Three trips to the hardware store today already. Beginning to contemplate arson again.
