@OSM_BFC @cquest @osm_fr je m'auto réponds avec https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Using_OpenStreetMap_offline#Using_the_Wiki_offline qui indique le lien d'une archive #zim du wiki, avec (890 Mo) ou sans images (450 Mo). A noter que la version 3.6.0 de #Kiwix sur #fdroid date un peu et a un bug d'accès au stockage local. On peut récupérer l'apk officiel depuis le site de Kiwix et après on parcourt l'archive zim facilement

#Wikivoyage is a free #travel #guidebook with #Wikipedia editing. It had robust articles on destinations I checked.

#Kiwix is an app that condenses huge websites down, so you can carry it with you wherever. You can carry Wikipedia or other massive repositories of knowledge offline anywhere. If my students didn't already have 5G super computers in their pockets, I could imagine this being a huge deal.

@writefreely Ich bin aber nicht sicher, ob ich das jetzt mit Debian so lasse oder nicht lieber noch auf #Yunohost umsteige. Das sollte auf die Dauer leichter zu maintainen sein und es locken weitere Dinge, die mit Yunohost mutmaßlich deutlich einfacher zu installieren und zu maintainen sind wie z.B. ein eigener #Matrix-Server, #HedgeDoc, #Forgejo und #Kiwix. Hat hier jemand Erfahrungen mit Yunohost? Da es eh auf Debian aufsetzt, kann ich es vielleicht auch einfach dazu installieren...

We had a really nice discussion in the (virtual) #swib22 pub this evening in a small round of 4-6 people.

One central theme was the movement towards centralization of the web (Twitter, also Wikidata/Wikipedia) & how to create a decentralized web that is resilient in the face of social & ecological disruptions. Amongst others, #ActivityPub, #IPFS, #BitTorrent, #LOCKSS, #Kiwix, #Spritel had an appearance.

There's a lot going on in my TL, again; I feel overwhelmed and over-stimulated. I know that I can filter/mute, but probably it's the best if I make a #FediBreak for a few days again.
