Apart from that, I went to two workshops yesterday. One was about "being your own experts" - communicating with doctors and other medical staff, because it's a common problem that doctors know very little about your or your kid's condition and you need to be very adamant that certain examination will be made or that some things will be done in a different way than with other patients (typical example is that they need to be very careful with narcosis for patients with Achondroplasia, and the patients need extra monitoring). #Kleinwuchsforum23

The kid is happy with his kids group, so we parents can fully focus on what's interesting to us. Yesterday evening, after bringing him to bed, we went to the bar and had many good conversations.

I had plans to write some more, but there's just too much going on here. :dragon_cookie: Yesterday, I was at the opening talk and at the talk with news about the association, and in the evening there were various groups for different diagnoses. We belong to the group for the "rare and unclear" - this time there were about 20 people with about 7 different diagnoses, and we needed to get more chairs! #Kleinwuchsforum23

The event has not even started officially, but we've already met so many people we know. We only attended once before (last year), but we also went to a seminary for "new parents" in 2019 and to two local events.

Also, we already made use of the really nice swimming pool and I was even in the sauna & in the gym for a bit. :dragon_cool:
