Today in 1897, a dance hall girl accidently starts a fire at a dance hall in Dawson City. That same girl accidently starts another fire on Oct. 14, 1898 that destroys the post office, bank and two saloons.

Though a #fantasy #comic, The Kobold's Claim is deeply inspired by western gold rushes - especially the #Klondike rush of the late 1890s. The opening image, in fact, is based on a photo of prospectors in Chilkoot Pass! The forests and mountains are heavily inspired by #Banff.
