About three weeks after death of predecessor Denys #Monastyrskyj, Ihor #Klymenko was officially appointed as #Ukraine's new Interior Minister. According to media reports, a two-thirds majority in parliament in Kyiv voted in favor of the 50-year-old ex-police chief, who has been acting as head of the ministry for the past few weeks. Monastyrskyj died in a helicopter crash in mid-January.
