in the process of learning with exposing the Flux webhook as HTTPS so GitLab can pick it up, the certs for TLS with Istio have to be in the same namespace as Istio, which is a bit different of an architecture that I'm used to. I've been using it without noticing in my Knative setup since it transparently takes care of that with the net-istio provider.

what about #dotnet (c#) cold startup times for serverless pods scaling to zero?
Is that a resolved issue nowadays?

@ahmet wrote a great post a bit back about #knative and #k8s and it's very good. https://ahmet.im/blog/knative-positioning/ argues several related things, but I think the main point is the problem of "premature-integration" as an OSS sin.

I think that's the right lesson to draw back out. The unix philosophy (which I'll call an "approach") is always the right one.
