Finally had a physio appointment for my knee yesterday. After bashing it back in January, it had been causing excruciating pain when using stairs & sometimes when walking. It had also been making a weird pop/click sound when I climbed stairs.

It had actually stopped hurting about a week ago, although the weird popping was still happening. So I felt a bit silly going to the appointment.

Today the pain has flared to the point it hurts all the damn time. I couldn't put any weight on it earlier & had to hop. And even just sat down it hurts. I preferred the pre-physio knee.

Nothing like knee pain at 34 to make me face my own mortality.

God knows what I did to it but going down stairs is a challenge 🙈 I'm walking down like my Dad does with his dodgy knees.

Maybe I'll shuffle down on my bum instead to feel more like a toddler than pensioner 😅

My knee is now starting to bruise (normal), but the bruising is showing as horizontal strips (not normal). Googling isn't giving me anything, and I'm curious: Is this normal? Based on how I fell and the rest of the injury, I'd expected a lot of brusing, but more the usual blotches.
Any thoughts?

Unsure how this place works, but I will use it as a safe place. Having ruptured my acl 6 months ago and being unable to have the necessary operation due to my knee being 'stuck' has been incredibly difficult. Not just the physical side of things, more so the mental side. The toll it takes seems to grow with each week. I desperately want to get my knee moving so they can operate and try my best with my physio exercises every day, it just seems to be making no progress.

Four years ago tonight, I was in the hospital after rupturing my patellar tendon at a fundraising basketball game on behalf of work. Two nights after surgery, I blacked out, fell, and tore all the ligaments connecting my shoulder and collarbone. Three surgeries later, and I still have 24/7 pain in both limbs.
