Picked up a WIP shawl (had a rolled edge similar to Icord). Started knitting and realised I couldn't remember how I'd done the rolled edge. Fiddled for hours, searched the internet, but couldn't replicate it....argh! Pulled it all undone...boohoo.

Began something else...a new shawl. Completed the first 130 rows. About to start the first lace section.

#knitting update:

THIS is what I want to do to extend this shawl but, #knittersofmastodon, you can’t pick up stitches on a curved edge, right?

The yellow part should be no problem, pick up and knit a few more rows to make it longer vertically. The blue part… I’m out of luck, right?

I am not sure if adding the yellow part without the blue part would help it reach lower on my back; I am surprisingly bad at imagining spatial things for a knitter, but here’s a pic also of what it looks like now and I’d like it to come down further.

I have a Very Important (not really) knitting question/advice needed.

So I made this nymphalidea shawl, supposed to look like a butterfly wing. I love it when it's blocked and Im' not wearing it.

When I wear it, I want it to hit lower on my back. If I kept going, the pattern is such that it would be wider (longer horizontally) but never longer vertically.

If both non-lace edges were straight, I could pick up stitches and add. But one is curved.

Is there #any* way to add on to that long curved edge?

Knitting is a stim for me. I only found out a couple of years ago that I'm autistic, so I had decades of heavy masking under my belt. Nobody looks askance at the lady knitting.

Finished my sweater. It was a pleasant, quick, summer knit. I like the short row design. I usually prefer German short rows, but this pattern called for wrap-and-turn, so I did it and it was fine. I guess my knitting has improved over the years, since I used to leave big gaps using w-a-t 😊
The pattern is Sanremo by Carol Feller, in Nua Sport (60% merino, 20% yak, 20% linen) in colorways Kittenfluff and Figment.

This morning I spent over an hour carding my yarn ends into stuffing for this gnome in progress.
Next time I'm buying stuffing! I thought this was a good idea, but it's really not - well, it might be if I carded teh ends as I finish a project so they are ready when I need the stuffing!

Been offline for a week after eye surgery so picked up my knitting after a couple of days.
Wasn't happy with original idea for granddaughter's shawl so started & finished a different design. Going to undo the other and use this pattern instead.
Though the other was too 'heavy/old' for them.
Need to block this and add tassels to 2 corners.
Anyhow - back to editing...
