Picked up stitches to knit a button band 31st March I started to knit using the double knit technique 1st April. Knitting every afternoon plus 2 days I knit morning and afternoon I still haven’t reached the other end. I didn’t comprehend just how long a double knit band would take but it will be worth it. The buttonholes were intensive! My fingers give up last night. Hoping to complete this week #Knitting #KnittersOfMastondon #WIPWednesday #Knit #slowfashion

#teamcraftersofmastodon 2hrs this afternoon complete knitting first sleeve plus Italian bind off. Picked up stitches of second sleeve. White fingers tonight but I hope to add another hour with a few rows of the tiny Sophie scarf.
If extra is needed we had a joint effort when dad helped me to frog a sock that I was knitting the gauge was so tight my hands refused to knit any more rounds. 30 mins to rip as it was wool plus Suri! I will report later a slow hour #Knitting #KnittersOfMastondon

A little night knitting Petiteknit’s Sophie scarf is the most useful tiny but warm accessory. They are soothing to knit when exhaustion has taken a grip. I knit a bigger project in the afternoon and have a small project for the early evening. I cannot cope with lots of #wips I have yarn for two more which will be pops of colour. At first I resisted but now I wear it everyday which is why I have planned to knit more #knitting #KnittersOfMastondon #FibreCrafts #WIP

March : March hare and a hat to cover my hair. It’s still cold whilst spring will soon be in the air. Notebook illustration by Jackie Morris one of a set that depict my love of #nature. My hat designed by Kate Davies for #knitting seasons. The colours I chose are similar to my project plans for this year, neutral shades with some pops of colour to be decided. The norm for me is one main project with a small project to knit in the evening #KnittersOfMastondon #StrandedColorwork #FibreArts

Day 2 #FixesAndMends for #Fiberuary dad’s sweater this time but a woollier wool which helped but my ventures to cut off cable work had my nerves frayed. I had it all seamed and dad had worn it but I needed to fix and realise neither of us are tall or have long arms! #Knitting #KnittersOfMastondon It is the Denali sweater I posted in #texture week Body 1st then I noticed the cuffs so did them too Bottom up knitting cutting or as my mum used to say pull a thread but she fixed things now it’s me

After viewing absolutely wonderful talented lace knitting in my feed my entries today show I need to learn so much more. The blouse style is designed by Isager called Lace although the challenge lies in reading what is missing in the translation. Lace and shell intentional holes I knit two as they are very well tailored although there is seaming involved.
