I think it's fascinating how different foot and leg look, just because they are different stitch counts. It's brioche stitch in both parts but on the leg it looks like two color brioche, while on the foot the stripes look horizontal.

#WipWednesday - the #knitting project of the moment.

I had some #Kauni 2-ply in my favorite colors in my stash - since at least 2007. Just a few weeks ago I finished a project from some rather well aged stash and found that rather satisfying, so ... here I am again.

I'm winging the pattern - a cardigan, with a box-pleat in the bag and a lace insert in the pleat - that's as far as I am for now, about 15 cm.

Eye of Partridge was one of the first texture stitch patterns, that I learned and it always reminds me of my grandmother, who's 114th birthday would be today - she died 19 years ago.

This stitch pattern was one of her go-to patterns for sock heels. And when she taught me sock knitting, I learned that pattern.

Last #Color day of #Fiberuary.

#StarWars alarm - the whole family are fans and I think this is the fourth iteration of that hat, that I made. The first three were smaller / shorter for toddler aged children, this one fits a large adult.

#Doubleknitting, but I didn't invert the writing on the inside (10 years ago I didn't know that was possible). It's really warm and keeps heads warm for 11 winters already.

My son is a huge #LOTR fan - and when I found a pattern for a scarf with the inscription of the ring, I just had to make it.

First we dyed the yarn together, as I couldn't find the right yarn: a very smooth wool-silk blend so it would not be itchy in the slightest bit, and the yellow should be a semi-solid so the writing would appear more dimensional than a solid color would deliver.
