I have a Very Important (not really) knitting question/advice needed.

So I made this nymphalidea shawl, supposed to look like a butterfly wing. I love it when it's blocked and Im' not wearing it.

When I wear it, I want it to hit lower on my back. If I kept going, the pattern is such that it would be wider (longer horizontally) but never longer vertically.

If both non-lace edges were straight, I could pick up stitches and add. But one is curved.

Is there * way to add on to that long curved edge?

SIGH!

@knitting and crochet folks. I saw this blanket at a historic house recently, and wondered what sort of technique or stitch has been used to join the squares? Can anyone help?

I have a hand knitted shawl that has been banished to the washing line to de-stink it. If anyone has any suggestions on how to do this otherwise, I'd love to know!

I need a little help knitting friends. The sock on the left was a knit after finishing a project with bulky yarn. It took me a while to adjust to the small needles. My tension was loose. The sock on the right is closer to my normal tension. Would you start over, redo the first, or just finish it and chalk it up to learning? PS, these are my first socks.
