My favorite bind off technique - double bond off or Coast Salish double bind off or Cowichan bind off are the names I've seen for this technique.

It's basically two parallel lines of normal bind off, interconnected after each stitch. Sounds complicated, but it's only a bit fiddly.

I like it, because it's stretchy but also stable. It's completely flat and it looks very clean.

Knitting folks: am interested in learning steeking. I have some excellent books including EZ _Knitting without tears and _Kitting workshop_, plus Stanley's _Handknitter's handbook_, and some beautiful patterns.
Am looking for YT recs or illustrated articles to speed my pickup along with a sample piece to work, for ex. Suggestions?

I’ve been teaching myself brioche knitting using a course from Ysolda Teague. Tonight I’m tackling reversible decreases on a two colour brioche hat. It’s tricky but not too bad once you get the first round done. I love the textur of brioche, it’s so squishy.

I'm knitting a jumper in the round, bottom up: I haven't knitted a jumper for A Very Long Time. It's on wee needles (3.25mm) - which is the best cast-on for me to use (learn!) please?
