Something I'm doing for story reasons. Since sprites this small don't convey emotion very well, I'm gonna use little emote popups to help convey emotions!

Here's the UI so far for #KoboldKwest!
Out of a desire to maximize center screen space, UI elements are limited to the corners of the screen and use large bars so they're easy to see at a glance.
Top left is HP, top right is Gold, bottom left is currwnt skill (WIP) and bottom right is current weapon/attacks.

I'm having so much fun making #KoboldKwest for the #Playdate that I almost want to try and build it in Unity, just to make it playable on other platforns.
That might be a challenge to tackle once the Playdate version is finished.

Some features I've added to #KoboldKwest!
- Weapons are now handled by event handlers rather than the player. If weapons swap, it will reduce the number of running operations
- Weapons now have cooldowns and an associated bar. No clue if I'm gonna make this a strict cooldown or charges.
