After being arrested shortly after the Great Tokyo Earthquake on September 3, 1923, he was charged with Park's "bandit case" on February 15, 1924, and executed on March 25, 1926.
Later commuted to life imprisonment, but died in prison on July 23, 1926, while imprisoned in the Tochigi wing of Utsunomiya Prison.

Saimdang Menoir Of Colors.

Saimdang is regarded as one of Koreas best painter ever . Living in 16th century.
She is portrayed on the 50000 Won bill.

In 2017 a Kdrama was made about her.
Much anticipated, high expectations but it derailed .
Beautiful filming in Toscane, stunning scenes but overdone in my own not-humble opinion.

By now I have watched Queen Seon Duk several times.
I love Korean historical dramas anyway.
But this is one of the most inspiring dramas to sort out what really happened.

She lay the groundworks for Korea, having to deal l with problems that feel very 21th century.
Fighting manipulation-with-superstition by the Lords and Lady Mishil , corruption etc.

Go Hyun-jung 's portrayal of Lady Mishil is epic though.
