Hmmm, not sure how I feel about this tincture (Zion Herbals 24k Gold Extract). I've always been a capsule person, or a tea (if I could ever find it) person. I've read on one page all it takes is a few drops under tongue, while another says that bottle is only 3 servings worth (I hope not!). I took two droppers, and I feel tired. Possibly relaxed, but I am also already very tired anyway. I'll take a couple drops before bed and see how it does for my sleep (the whole purpose).
Roomie asked which I wanted, and I chose this, not my usual capsule "trainwreck" strain. That one is a mix of 5 different types, and I used to do so well on it. Now it makes me sick and my head hurt. So I wanted to try something knew, but also something listed for current takers. Not planning on this one all the time, just for this weird cold snap we're having this week after two glorious days of 80 degrees. It also tastes like the most bitter, awful stuff I've ever tasted.
I do feel something. A light calm I think. Not bad, but I also wonder if my severe fatigue is effecting that. I would love the light calm. I HATE overly strong, mind messing things. Hence why I don't smoke weed (narcolepsy or extreme anxiety and fear). Or take night meds (RLS or I sleep for 3 days straight.
It will be interesting to see how it does if I can get a actual full night of goddamn sleep.
I miss the tea I got in Idaho. That was amazing. Made music so much better, and helped me sleep like a rock. I could order online, but those sites want you to use crypto. Big no. And I also can't afford even the capsule most of the time (priorities even if it helps me function better).
I don't want to hear about the dangers of kratom. I've heard it all. I don't doubt it can be addictive. I don't doubt it can be harmful. But for ME, it isn't. I can survive without it. It sucks, because pain sucks. But I manage. I've never been on pain killers all too much, nor cared to be. I like all natural if I can help it. It can give you withdrawals if your taking it everyday. I found that out last year. Hence why I take it for maybe a week tops, then break for months. Just being honest. Also I know some extracts or those *shots* are bad. Many have nasty stuff in them. This one is just a water soluble oil, kratom, and lemon juice.
Anyway, just wanted to give my two cents on this tincture. Not bad, but I also need a clean sleep pallet to gauge if it will help wind me down when I'm not run down.
It did help my headache, and pinched shoulder a bit though. Yay! I'm going to track down some ear plugs soon (dogs), and crawl into my blanket cave. It's 30 degrees and cold as hell!!
