May be I should look at implementing #libfreerdp2 into #KRDC, thus getting rid of the (x|wl)freerdp-out of process invocation and window context embedding (which on wayland doesn't even work).
Invoking wlfreerdp by .desktop-file works, but isn't as integrated as I'd like it to be.

what are #cursed #sysadmin s that have to #rdp to windows boxes from #linux use these days?
I used to use #krdc, but that has stagnated and has gone janky under wayland. I started using the freerdp command aliased with all switches to "rdp" - but there are times this also feels a bit janky.
#remmina seems dated, #connections is too simplistic
have I missed anything good?

Gerade mal den grafischen #Remotezugriff im #KDE via der Anwendung #KRDC (über Protokoll rdp oder vnc) im heimischen Netz erfolgreich getestet. Performat und flüssig in der Darstellung.
@totallymonica G'day Monica, ta for info. AD has been great for me, all pooters, for some years since i swapped to it from #teamviewer; today's weird blip was v unusual, & i still atm can't grasp how/why it happened.
I have *wanted* to try RD also for 12 or 18 mths, but for reasons i've forgotten atm each time i tried, something stopped me, but if it's good for you then i wanna try it again, ta.
Also, wanna try KDE's #KRDC, but atm i'm too dimwitted to understand how to drive it. :eyeroll: 😀
Windows + proprietary VPN client = connects to workplace's network but no remote desktop..🤦♂️
#kdeneon :kdeneon: + #openconnect + #KRDC = access to network and able to start a remote desktop session
