Little things in Krita just keep on amazing me.

This time, I lasso freehand selected an area in one document , copied the group including 4 layers in it, and pasted the contents of just the selection with all the group's layers into another document.

So simple, but just works as you'd want it to.

First structure and form sketches for panel 6. Just in case anyone is wondering, yeah, the skull from a few weeks back was practice for this

This didn't exist in the first sketches I made a couple years ago, so I just had to take a small portion of panel 7 as reference for the general composition and go from there

So far she looks positively bewildered, which is about what I was going for

I've been thinking recently how so much of my creative ideas really lend themselves to be expressed as images and want to make a more dedicated effort to practice digital painting.

I think I have some talent for drawing but never really practiced it. I do have a decent tablet that I use to make finishing touches to fantasy maps, and it's always just a pure joy when I have a reason to use #krita for anything.

Any resources to recomend for practicing drawing environments and landscapes?

Rough experimental mockup of an alternative #Krita icon, made in Krita.

I've been toying with the idea of making a custom icon pack for ages. Seeing how I feel about it.

Panel 7 is done, even though I had to do a million other things today lmao. But, I can cross that off my list.

In the end it did end up having the right vibe as 8, which I won't complain about lmao

Also, I may create an account on a Pixelfed server to post these as a photo carousel once I finish this

I realised why I thought it wasn't a feature is it didn't act the same way as a layer which you'd expect. To transform multiple layers, when you make a selection you have to hit Enter after switching to the Transform tool to activate the transform on the Group. Then you can transform the selection as expected.

On a layer, you can just click in the selection to move it. I thought the Group would have acted the same way.

Another great reason for why Krita is better than Photoshop: You can freehand lasso select and transform multiple layers at once (using groups).

I don't think there's a feature like this in Krita (Experienced Krita artists correct me if I'm wrong), but I'd love to be able to freehand select/lasso select and area and transform multiple layers at once.

Photoshop doesn't have this ability, but it's something Procreate does which is fantastic and I've wanted every art program to have it now since I've used it. It's so useful.
