According to Wikipedia (Time Travel page), also the NYTimes, and a new podcast coming out on "The Last Archive" entitled "The Krononauts", our 'landing party' for Visitors from the Futures was the first such experiment.
That was in 1982.
"Destination Day" in Perth AU followed decades later in 2005.
Then the Party for Time Travelers at MIT also in 2005.
Then Hawkings in 2009.

We are developing the #KrononautMoon event to occur every spring (in the NH).

@Wolleysegap It also sounds like real science. The #KrononautMoon project isn't so much about fiction. It's about opening up possibilities wherever they are.

For @piper & anyone else reading this, please ask any questions you have. #KrononautMoon always occurs on a #FullMoon, the one that is closest to the spring #Equinox. It occurs on 1 night between March 6 and April 3 every year.

The moon will be full in both the northern and southern hemispheres.

The location(s) will be wherever you would like to be, the point being that it is determined by #Time and not by place. #Mastodon will be an important communication channel for us & the #Krononauts.

Why talk about the #FullMoon nearest to the #VernalEquinox? The calculation for #KrononautMoon is simpler and less dependent on human calendars. It's based on nature (the #Sun crossing the #CelestialEquator from south to north).

A #KrononautMoon will almost always occur between March 3 and April 6. We don't need to know what month it is, only when the spring equinox is. On our homepage (in beta) are dates thru the next decade, including a #TotalLunarEclipse in 2025.
