They translate to "Against Hate" and "Politicized Identity."

I walk into a room and I am assumed I'm "political" for just existing. So I might as well own that.

I have faith in myself, my people, and the natural world. As for a God, well... God in the Abrahamian sense may not exist to me, but how my ancestors worshiped and interpreted their beliefs and the elements is pretty substantial. I can honor that.

Hello! Today's Principle is Kuumba, or Creativity.

I strive to have some creativity in my life, and that primarily manifests as writing (journaling, poetry, fiction and fanfic). I also include my #VTuber lore and streaming as such, too-- I get to play some cool creative stuff, and that also inspires me! As I said earlier this week, "Creativity begets more creativity and inspiration."

Hey! Today's Principle for both Kwanzaa and KuchuQwanzaa is Nia, or Purpose.

What is my purpose in life? To be supportive, confounding, to call out bullshit, and to exist. "Just existing" in each of our varied truths may not sound much, but for Queer people it is the whole world.

Personal Projects can be Purposeful, too. And I did that alliteration on purpose. >:)

Today, reflect on Nia. Tomorrow will be Kuumba (Creativity).

As for Elimu, this week I learned about #KuchuQwanzaa! So, it's only fitting that for the new year, I strive to know more about this holiday, and discover more queer Black things.

Other than that, I am still thinking of how I can grow in the new year. I can always be more mindful of our Black queer history.
